Summer Solstice Celebration en plein air
is hosted by Universal Metaphysical Meetup Group at the Council Bluffs Pavilion in Palmer Park (directions below) to celebrate summer. Council Bluffs Pavilion seats a large number of people under shelter in case of rain and includes a nice open area for wandering around.
This will be a wonderful opportunity to connect or reconnect with members in the Universal Metaphysics Meetup group. This meetup is also being posted on the Fully Charged meetup.
Bring your instruments (drums, rattles, flutes, tambourines). We will be building a stone circle and doing a fun ceremony with the stone circle to honor mother earth and our connection to nature. If you have a largish stone that you are willing to bring along, then bring it with you – large enough so you won’t lose it if you place it on the ground – I’d say about a one pound or bigger stone. This can be any natural stone or rock, or a hunk of quartz or whatever you have available.
If you have neither instruments nor stones, we’ll have some for sharing.
Bring warm clothes in case of bad weather , maybe an umbrella, and plenty of water to drink. There are restrooms available for our use only at the pavilion.
Enter Palmer Park from the Maizeland/Academy side. Drive up the road to just about or beyond the doggy park and you will see the entrance to Council Grounds Picnic Area on the left. There is some parking there. You can also park lower down by the swings area and walk up through the gate (it’s not far).
